At Witchy Hitching, you can ask us anything and everything to help understand us and our services as well as possible.

To get you started, please see below a lovely list of frequently asked questions. If there is anything we haven't answered, you can submit an inquiry at anytime via our contact page.

Do I have to be a witch to get married by Witchy Hitching?

No way! Witchy Hitching doesn’t just provide spell-bounding wedding ceremonies for witches and Wiccans. It’s true, that witchy hitching specialises in witchy and alternative ceremonies, but we will work closely with you to provide a personalised services to suite your needs in any way possible.

What’s the difference between Wicca and Witchcraft?

The worlds of witchcraft and Wicca are vast and colourful. Anyone and everyone can be a witch or practice witchcraft, whereas Wicca is a pagan based religion. What witchcraft and Wicca have in common is the respect of magic found in nature and utilising the power of intention.

How do you feel about LGBTQIA+ marriages?

I feel great about them! As a non-binary, pansexual, and a human bean, I proudly live by the pansexual/pan romantic creed of, “Hearts not parts”. I don’t care what clothes you wear, what you got going on under them, what pronouns you use, who you love, or what gets your heart racing, as long as everyone involved are consenting adults, I’ll be your celebrant with pride.

Are there any ceremonies/rituals you won’t do?

As a civil marriage celebrant, I can marry any two-consenting people, over the age of 18, as long as the NOIM was lodged within 30 days of the ceremony date, and we have two witnesses to scribble on the very important papers. Outside of wedding ceremonies, I can do non-legal ceremonies like promise/commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, anniversaries, naming ceremonies, space cleansing, gender reveal/affirmations, adoption ceremonies (for fluffy friends as well as humans) or any other ceremony you might think of!

There aren’t many limitations as to what we can do on your special day. However, out of respect for different cultures, religions and people, I do not partake in any closed practices. If a closed practice is an essential element to your ceremony, you can of course have a family member, friend etc perform it, but I will not be able to participate.

What locations are you available for ceremonies?

My home base is Parramatta, but I’m happy to travel anywhere in Western Sydney at no additional cost. Any additional travel/accommodation cost will need to be discussed and agreed upon for all events outside of Western Sydney.

Why did you become a celebrant?

I was lucky to have a celebrant at my own wedding (Shout out to Jac the Hitcher!) who helped us implement our rituals and ensured that our day was as magical as we are. My aim as a celebrant is to make any celebration just as enchanting. You don’t need to get married to have a spellbinding experience!

What’s your sign?

Thank you for asking!
I’m a Leo Sun; sunny, sassy and funny!
Aquarius Moon; emotionally articulate and level headed (most of the time)
and Scorpio Rising; A modern witch mixed with a "2009 emo kid who never grew up" aesthetic!

What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

Your booking fee, which will be 50% of your total ceremony cost, is non-refundable. In other words, when you’re ready to commit to one person for the rest of your lovely lives, I’m also fully committed to being your celebrant. By all means possible, I don’t do more than ONE ceremony a day. This makes all booking essential and the price of ‘first in, best dressed' is a non refundable cost.

If you need to change your date due to unforeseen circumstances, this can of course be discussed within reason and rebooked if the alternative date is available, but additional administration costs my occur, which will be discussed before any changes are confirmed.

I’m not in the business of taking money unnecessarily from happy couples, so as soon as something comes up that may interfere with your big day, let me know so we can do anything in our power to overcome it.
